Holy War

Tonight we mourn the loss of the Holy War to the Utes. After two years of beating the reds to the championship (and the bowl game), BYU lost. Fighting hard, but obviously not hard enough, the Cougars were pushed out of running for the BCS bowl. However, we LOYAL BYU fans will never lose FAITH in our team or our school. The Quest is not over. People may think we have failed, or that the quest is over, but the Quest does not apply just to the football field. At BYU we are on a LIFETIME quest- yes for perfection- that will not end just with one football game. Just as people make mistakes in life, that seem impossible to fix, BYU football has made a small mistake. . . okay many small mistakes that led to a BIG mistake. Does that mean that the legacy of BYU Football will die? Does that mean that we will give up on our team? NO! I know you are all happy that the (quote) "self righteous zoobies" lost, but in the end we can have victory over a greater foe. So, as we mourn our loss, we must not forget that we will RISE FROM THE DUST and be even stronger, faster, better than before. As Winston Churchill said, "Victory. . . Victory at all costs; victory in spite of terror, however long and hard the road may be. . . conquer we must and conquer we shall. . . We will never surrender."
