story night

every year, a couple days before christmas, my family gathers in our family room, around the fire, with sleeping bags, blankets, pillows and a variety of treats, to read christmas stories. my mom reads some of our favorite books to us until everyone is asleep. [usually we fall asleep really quickly, but not quite as quickly as mom does!] this year i think mom hit a record of falling asleep the fastest. dad had to take over and finish. my favorite book that we read every year is The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
