auld lang syne: 2009 in review

January

• dances at BYU- dress up of course!
• E. Richards 2110 first fiesta
• I go jump in a pool (literally) with Neal, Adam, Evan, Jake, and Sam
• First time disco skating= a blast
• I make a new best friend-Neal!
• I start my second semester at BYU. Class at 8 every morning :(
  

February

• I turn 19!
• I fit inside a dryer at Heritage Halls
• Amy's pants rip so we hang them up in our window with writing all over them
• BYU Basketball games with Neal
  

March

• Draper Temple Open House with the ward. So beautiful!
• Sarah's Junior Recital in Rexburg, ID

April

• BYU volleyball games
• Disco Skating with Rachel and Andrea
• I audition for Young Ambassadors. Dancing- no beuno. Singing- bueno.
• Neal and me imitate the statues in the HFAC garden while "studying"
• Pre- Med Club banquet
• Amy and me sing "For Good" at the ward talent show.
• Last BYUSA dance of the year- I wear orange pants
• Final fiesta of the year. Sugar Bombs. Shaving neal's legs. Watch red eye. All in one night!
• It randomly snows a LOT
• I get really tan when it finally warms up!
• I say good bye to all the wonderful people from BYU 186th ward! :(
• Hike the Y with Neal
• Adam graduates from BYU!
• I go to Neal's mission farewell

May

• Jumping on the trampoline with Spencer and Hyrum provides entertainment
• GC3 ward opening summer social at PG pool
• I start work at Taco Amigo
  

June

• I start working at Old Navy in American Fork
• I write Nate Hainsworth letters

July

• Hyrum wins the Freedom Festival Essay contest and the boys eat bugs.
• GC3 ward trip to Salt Lake to see temple square and the Joseph Smith Movie
• Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house with the fam

August

• GC3 ward super activity in Flaming Gorge. First time caving.First time cliff jumping. SUPER fun at the lake. I decide I could live on the water.
• Jane comes to Provo. Spencer and I visit.
• Spencer turns 18!

September

• I move to Liberty Square and begin my sophomore/ freshman/ junior year at BYU!
• I start working at BYU Catering
• First BYU women's soccer game
• First time doing tye- dye is a success

October

• Tandem bike is awesome
• Jess Payton, Shalise, and I plan BYU's Homecoming dance complete with a big band and carraige rides.
• Jacquel Reese's farewell
• Jane Ostergar comes to visit me in Utah! We have terrific Halloween costumes!

November

• I love my roommates!
• Chocolate molten lava cake from chilis with breanne :)
• I run my very first 5K on Thanksgiving morning with Grandpa, Mom, and Hyrum!
• Thanksgiving at home :)

December

• Festival of Trees with Shalise and Lindsey Bills
• BYU 132nd ward Christmas party at Aspen Grove
• Hanukkah
  
• The Sunday to remember: snowman outside our door when we wake up. Walking to church proves impossible. We get locked inSIDE our apartment. Ugly Sweater party.
• GC1 ward Christmas party. Santa comes around at 7:30 am on a firetruck.
• Christmas is wonderful! I get a guitar!
• We discover Settlers of Cataan
• Lunch at Zuppas with mom and then on to Build A Bear to help Sarah make her bear!
• We make toilet paper wedding dresses at Michelle Johnson's wedding shower.
